A ROMWOD is a workout of the day (WOD) with the focus being on improving the range of motion (ROM) of the athlete. ROMWOD is not part of CrossFit but is used by a lot of Crossfitters. Think stretching and mobility to improve the efficiency and results of your workouts.

If you increase your mobility then you automatically increase your chances of staying injury free and you’ll also increase all other aspects of training. Increasing mobility is not the same as increasing flexibility, although usually, the two go hand in hand. If you’re flexible it doesn’t mean you’re automatically very mobile. Being mobile means that you perform movements with ease. There is more to it than that, but that’s for an article about what mobility means.
